With the new year came new music and Alex is excited to share the first single Mundo Nuevo featuring Lila Downs!

The song was written in the atmosphere of solitude and reflecting on profound questions we have all been asking ourselves, “What consolation is contained in music? When faced with loss do we find solace in a New World”. Alex invites Lila Down to liberate internal fears and embrace change that creates new worlds. Alex is in the studio once more with Mundo Nuevo as the first single being released February 19, 2021. In his own words he describes the song, “with a touch of Son but this time around, a Son Jarocho feel, this song is really spiritual to me. Like those songs that set you free when you listen. The simple and the complex come together as a melody that comes from the center of the earth.
